This Writ Petition is filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus seeking direction to the first respondent to consider and pass orders on petitioner's representation dated 09.05.2016 seeking upgradation of his post as Record Assistant in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.
3.Though the learned counsel for the petitioner has made submission on the merits of the case and contended that the petitioner is entitled to some benefits which his juniors were given, the learned counsel for the petitioner confined his arguments to direct the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 02.06.2006, 22.11.2006 and 09.05.2016 within a period stipulated by this court.
4. Considering the nature of the case and the grievance of the petitioner, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 09.05.2016 and his earlier representations on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case.
5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
