The petitioner sought for the following reliefs:
"Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing to the respondent no. 2, District Magistrate to decide the arm licence application dated 06.06.2017 (File No. 9) filed under New Arms Rules, 2016 within a stipulated period of time as fixed by this Hon'ble Court.
Issue any other order or direction which the Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstance of the case."
The application of the petitioner for grant of Firearms Licence shall be processed by the authorities in accordance with law.
The writ petition is disposed of.
