JUDGMENT / ORDER

Common Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to call for the records of the 2nd respondent in connection with the impugned order passed by him in RC.No.128883/NGB (1)/2013 dated 29.01.2014 and quash the same and further direct the respondents to consider the claim of the petitioner for inclusion of his name in the C list of Sub-Inspector (AR) fit for promotion as Inspector of Police for the year 2013 without reference to TDP Case No.5/2005 (11/2009) on the file of TDP, Chennai and promoted him as Reserve Inspector of Police and grant him all consequential service and monetary benefits.

2. The Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents submitted that, an order issued by the Additional Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Vepery, Chennai, in proceedings Rc.No.Estt-I/Tr./182/3655/2016, dated 26.02.2016, stating that the writ petitioner has been already promoted. Thus, no further adjudication is required on the grounds raised in these writ petitions.
3. Accordingly, these writ petitions stand closed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
