Heard Sri Virendra Kumar Jaiswal, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Pradeep Kumar Tripathi, learned Standing Counsel for the State respondents.
By means of present writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, petitioner is praying for issuance of writ of mandamus directing the respondents to decide the representation dated 26.9.2018.
It is submitted that Block No. 39 at Tehsil Meja, District Prayagraj was granted to the petitioner for a period of five years commencing from 17.2.2018 to 16.2.2023 and lease deed to that effect was executed. Learned counsel further submits that the mining operation is not viable and, therefore, representation for cancellation of the lease deed aforesaid was filed, which is pending since 26.9.2018.
Considering the aforesaid, without commenting on merits of the case, we dispose of this petition and expect that the authority concerned will consider and decide the representation of the petitioner, in accordance with law.
Writ petition is disposed of.
