The petitioner has challenged the election notification dated 15.10.2018 whereby, election of students union of Baba Raghav Das Bhagwan Das Post Graduate College, Deoria has been notified.
Counsel for the petitioner submitted that the nomination of the petitioner was rejected on the ground that he had contested election in the past. According to him, the rejection of nomination is illegal.
Since the election process has started with the issuance of the election notification and therefore, the Court is not inclined to go into the issues raised by the petitioner, as it would amount to interfering in the election process. The writ petition is accordingly disposed of with liberty reserved in favour of the petitioner to seek relief before appropriate forum, after the election is held.
