Heard learned counsel for the applicants.
The claim as is urged by the learned counsel is for the payment of compensation for their private land holding having been utilized by the Public Works Department. It is not disputed before this Court that such complaints must be addressed to the concerned A.D.M. (F & R), who chairs the committee constituted in terms of the Government Order dated 12 May 2016.
On being faced with this, learned counsel for the applicants sought liberty to approach the concerned A.D.M. (F & R) with a prayer for disposal of their claim. Sri K.R. Singh, the learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel states that in case any application seeking compensation in terms of the Government Order dated 12 May 2016 is made, the concerned A.D.M. (F & R) shall be instructed to place the same before the committee for its evaluation and disposal in accordance with law.
Accordingly, this petition, with the consent of parties, is disposed of with an observation that it shall be open to the applicants to approach the concerned A.D.M. (F & R) within a period of two weeks from today along with a detailed representation in respect of their claim for grant of compensation. In case the above directions are complied with, the concerned A.D.M. (F & R) shall ensure that the said representation is placed for consideration and disposal of the committee constituted in terms of the Government Order dated 12 May 2016. The concerned A.D.M. (F & R) as well as the committee shall endeavour to dispose of the claim with expedition and preferably within a period of two months from the date of receipt of the representation.
Learned counsel for the applicants shall provide a copy of this petition to Sri K.R. Singh, the learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel for transmission to the concerned A.D.M. (F & R) and compliance of the directions entered hereinabove.
