Heard learned counsel for the applicant and perused the record.
This application under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (for short 'Code') has been filed on behalf of the applicants with a prayer to quash the entire criminal proceedings in Criminal Case No. 14300/9 of 2017, arising out of Case Crime No. 211 of 2015 (State of U.P. v. Ahsan and others), under Sections 498A, 323, 324 of IPC, 1860, Police Station - Mahila Thana, District - Muzaffarnagar.
Learned counsel for the applicants contended that the matter has been amicably settled between the parties through mediation. He submitted that the matter shall be send to the mediation centre.
In view of the order dated 15.11.2018 passed by this Court in Application u/s 482 No. - 37845 of 2018 (Rajan Awasthi and 5 others v. State of U.P. and Another), this court cannot compel the complainant/victim to compound the case with the applicants, as such, the matter cannot be send to the mediation centre.
Accordingly, prayer for sending the matter to the mediation centre is refused.
In the result, the instant application under Section 482 of the Code stands disposed of.
