The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking a direction to cancel the licence issued to the Toddy Shop No.TS 36 in Ward No.14. The relief has been sought for alleging that, the toddy shop was not granted a licence by the Panchyat. The learned counsel for the Panchayat submits that the 6th respondent has already been granted a licence by the Panchayat. Therefore, the petitioner seeks dismissal of this writ petition without prejudice to his rights to challenge the licence in appropriate proceedings. The request is accepted.
This writ petition is accordingly dismissed, but without prejudice to the rights of the petitioner to challenge the Panchayat licence in appropriate proceedings.
