JUDGMENT / ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to declare that the bank notes of denomination value of Rs.2,000/- is not valid, by way of issuing a writ of declaration.
2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has represented to the effect that in Rs.2,000/- currency notes Article 343(1) of the Constitution of India has not been followed and under the said circumstances the same is invalid.
3.It is represented on the side of the respondents that similar matters are pending before the Hon'ble Supreme Court.
4.Considering the nature of the relief sought in the writ petition and also considering the fact that similar matters are pending before the Hon'ble Supreme Court, this Court is not inclined to entertain the present writ petition and therefore this writ petition is liable to be dismissed.
5.In fine, this writ petition is dismissed without costs. However liberty is given to the petitioner to work out his remedy before the Hon'ble Supreme Court.
