Raghu, learned counsel for the petitioners in these cases, states that the reservations effected in the context of 2006 elections are the subject matter of these writ petitions and therefore do not survive for consideration on merits at this stage. He however seeks liberty on behalf of his clients to challenge the reservations in future, if effected on the same lines.
The writ petitions are accordingly dismissed as infructuous subject to the liberty aforestated. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand dismissed. No order as to costs.
