Heard counsel for the petitioner and Standing Counsel for State of UP.
The writ petition has been filed for a mandamus commanding District Magistrate, Farrukhabad (respondent-2) to decide Application 17.6.2008 for grant of Fire Arm Licence, expeditiously.
Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of respondents states that at present there is change in the procedure and proforma for according license of the fire arms and the petitioner has to move fresh application as per the new norms.
Without entering into the controversy involved in the writ petition, the writ petition is disposed of with the observation that in case fresh application is moved by the petitioner within two weeks from today along with certified copy of this order then same would be considered and decided by the competent authority in accordance with law, on the same police report, which has been submitted earlier in the application, expeditiously, preferably within a period of two months thereafter , according to provisions as provided under Rule 13 of Arms Rules, 2016.
