The sole relief claimed in the instant petition is for issuance of a direction to the Principal Judge, Family Court, Ghaziabad before whom Misc. Case No.25 of 2017 under Section 25 of the Guardians and Wards Act is pending, to decide the same within a specified time.
The aforesaid proceedings are pending at the instance of the petitioner seeking his appointment as guardian of his two minor children.
Counsel for the petitioner submitted that the mediation has failed and the petitioner is not even permitted to meet his minor children.
A perusal of the order sheet reveals that cross-examination of the witnesses is in progress.
Having regard to the nature of the proceedings, the trial Judge is directed to decide the proceedings on day-to-day basis unless the matter is adjourned for a longer period, for reasons to be recorded in writing.
The petition stands disposed of accordingly.
