The present writ petition has been filed with the prayer for mandamus issuing direction to the respondent no. 3 - Tehsildar, Tehsil Sadar, District Mirzapur to issue a caste certificate of a particular caste within the stipulated period.
The contention is that the representation moved by the petitioner placing all relevant papers for issuance of the caste certificate is pending consideration before the respondent no. 3.
This submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner is found misconceived. A perusal of Annexure-'4' to the writ petition clearly indicates that the application seeking caste certificate submitted by the petitioner in the month of March, 2020, had been rejected by the competent officer.
The order rejecting the application is not subject matter of challenge in the present writ petition. Even otherwise, for any dispute relating to non-issuance of the caste certificate or wrong rejection of the application, it is open for the petitioner to approach the District Level Caste Scrutiny Committee, which is competent to decide any dispute relating to caste certificate.
We, therefore, do not find any good ground to entertain the writ petition. The writ petition is dismissed with the liberty to the petitioner to approach the District Level Caste Scrutiny Committee for redressal of his grievances.
