Sri KR Singh, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel has filed an affidavit of compliance, which has been sworned by Sanjay Agarwal, Additional Chief Secretary, Education, Government of UP, Lucknow.
A copy of the order dated 7 September 2018 is enclosed as Annexure No.1 to the compliance of affidavit, which indicates that entire principal amount is credited in the Bank Account of the applicant after making the deduction, as applicable under the Income Tax Act, 1961.
Learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel has also informed the Court that so far as the interest part is concerned, the said amount of interest calculated to the tune of Rs. 1,32,895/- is under process and likely to be paid to the applicant within a week.
In view of the aforesaid, this Court finds that there is no reason to keep this application pending and accordingly, the contemp application is dismissed as infructuous.
