Upon instructions, learned A.G.A. informs that one named accused has been arrested whereas the another unnamed accused person has surrendered. The police is looking after to arrest the third unnamed accused person, who is still absconding. The statement of the victim/first informant has been recorded. The submission is that the Investigating Officer will take all endeavour to conclude the investigation within a period of one month.
Noticing the above, we dispose of the writ petition with the observation that the Investigating Officer of the Police Station, Civil Lines, District Prayagraj shall make all possible efforts to bring the investigation to its logical conclusion by following the strict procedure expeditiously preferably within a period of one month from today.
In case of any failure or slackness on the part of the Investigating Officer, it would be open for the petitioner to approach this Court again.
