The principal prayer made in the instant petition is for issuing a direction to the trial Court to decide the application for temporary injunction expeditiously, and for directing the parties to maintain status quo over the suit property.
Original Suit No. 162/2018 was filed by the petitioner on 22.2.2018. On the same date, the trial Court passed an order issuing notice to the defendants and declined to grant ex-parte injunction. The order dated 22.2.2018 is not under challenge. A perusal of the order sheet reveals that the last date fixed before the trial Court was 21.3.2018. The order passed by the trial Court on that date has not been brought on record and it is not clear as to who got the matter adjourned on that date.
Having regard to these facts, this Court while declining to grant any ex-parte injunction, disposes of the instant petition by directing the trial Court to make endeavour to decide the application for temporary injunction expeditiously, without granting unnecessary adjournments.
