Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.
The present petition has been filed for a direction upon the court concerned to decide Original Suit No. 104 of 2001 (Ratan Kumar and others v. Samar Bahadur and others) within a stipulated period.
From the order-sheet of the case, it appears that on the joint request of learned counsel for the parties, on 06.12.2017, 24.01.2018 was the date fixed and, thereafter, on 24.01.2018, 27.03.2018 was the date fixed for hearing.
It is not disclosed as to what happened thereafter.
However, considering that the matter is over a decade old, this court considers it appropriate to dispose of this petition by requiring the court concerned to ensure that the matter, in absence of any legal impediment, is brought to its logical conclusion, expeditiously, without entertaining unnecessary adjournments from the parties.
