JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioner has approached this Court with the following prayer:
“Issue an appropriate writ, order or direction commanding the respondents to permit the petitioner to liquidate the entire liability and further permit the petitioner to repay the same by way of reasonable instalments, and defer all coercive proceedings pursuant to Ext.P1 and P2, in the interest of justice”
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is ready and willing to clear the entire tax arrears, if some breathing time is provided, by way of reasonable instalments.
3. Heard the learned Government Pleader as well.
4. In the above circumstances, the writ petition is disposed, with liberty to the petitioner to satisfy the entire tax arrears covered by Exts.P1 and P2 by way of 'four' equal monthly instalments; the first of which shall be effected on or before 20.12.2014; followed by similar instalments to be effected on or before 20th of the succeeding months. Subject W.P.C NO. 32608 OF 2014 2 to this, the coercive proceedings stated as being pursued against the petitioner shall be kept in abeyance for the time being. It is made clear that, if any default is committed with regard to repayment of the due amount as above, it will be open for the respondents to proceed with further steps for realization of the entire amount in lump, from the stage where it stands now.
The petitioner shall produce a copy of this judgment along with copy of the writ petition before the concerned respondent for further steps.
