1. Called in revise. None appeared on behalf of petitioners.
2. By means of the present writ petition, petitioners have sought the following reliefs:
“a. issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondent no. 3 to promote the petitioner since 9.11.2001 on the post of Asstt. Teacher and after to award the selection grade since 7.8.99 and 31.10.99.
b. issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondent no. 3 to correct the seniority list by mentioning the correct date of the petitioner appointment as the trained teacher.
c. issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondent no. 3 to award all the consequential benefits to the petitioners.”
3. However, I have gone through the pleadings, grounds as also reliefs sought and find that petitioners are not able to make out a case so as to justify interference of this Court by granting reliefs, as prayed for.
4. Moreover, it appears that either the cause of action no more survives or that petitioners have lost interest in this matter or it has otherwise become infructuous and, probably for this reason, none is interested to have decided this matter on merits and that is why, counsel for petitioners is absent.
5. Dismissed. Interim order, if any, stands vacated.
