By means of the present petition, the petitioner is seeking a writ of mandamus commanding the respondent no. 2 namely the licensing authority to decide the application of the Arms licence dated 8.2.2018 filed by the petitioner within a stipulated period.
To this prayer, learned Standing Counsel raises no objection.
Be that as it may, without entering into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, the present petition is being disposed of with the direction to the respondent no. 2 to decide the application of the Arms licence dated 8.2.2018 filed by the petitioner, expeditiously, preferably within a period of three months from the date of submission of certified copy of this order after seeking report from the concerned authority.
