Petitioner is the sole accused in CC33/2014 on file of the Judicial First Class Magistrate Court I, Manjery. The defacto- complainant is his mother-in-law. He is alleged to have committed the offences under Sections 323, 324, 354 IPC. Now it is submitted that the matter has been settled by the parties. The de facto-complainant who is the second respondent has filed an affidavit to the effect that the matter has been settled and the proceedings in the Criminal Case need not be proceeded with.

3. I am satisfied that this is a fit case to invoke the jurisdiction of this court under Section 482 Cr.P.C. In the result, the proceedings in CC 33/2014 on the file of the Judicial First Class Magistrate Court I, Manjeri are quashed.
