JUDGMENT / ORDER

Court No. - 34
Case :- WRIT - A No. - 4885 of 1997 Petitioner :- Abdul Latif Respondent :- State Transport Appellate Tribunal U.P. Lko And Others Counsel for Petitioner :- A.D. Suanders Counsel for Respondent :- C.S.C.
Hon'ble Sudhir Agarwal,J.
1. Ms. Samrin Naaz, Advocate holding brief of Sri A.D. Saunders, learned counsel for petitioner, states that he has no instructions in the matter. No other counsel has appeared on behalf of petitioner though the case is called in revise.
2. By means of the present writ petition, petitioner has sought the following relief:
“(i) to issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of certiorari quashing the judgment dated 5.11.1996 passed by the State Transport Appellate Tribunal U.P., Lucknow in Appeal No. 223 of 1987 so far as it relates to the petitioner; (Annexure-2 to the writ petition).
(ii) to issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of certiorari quashing the resolution dated 16.1.1986 passed by the Regional Transport Authority, Meerut (Annexure-1 to the writ petition) in so far as it relates to the petitioner.
(iii) to issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the Regional Transport Authority, Meerut to grant permit to the petitioner on the route Muzaffar Nagar- Shikhera-Kawal-Jansath-Miranpur-Ramraj-Bahsuma and allied routes.”
3. However, I have gone through the pleadings, grounds as also reliefs sought and find that petitioner is not able to make out a case so as to justify interference of this Court by granting relief, as prayed for.
4. Moreover, it appears that either the cause of action no more survives or that petitioner has lost interest in this matter or it has otherwise become infructuous and, probably for this reason, none is interested to have decided this matter on merits.
5. Dismissed. Interim order, if any, stands vacated.
