JUDGMENT / ORDER

The State of Karnataka, By Bantwal Town Police Station, Bantwal, Bantwal Taluk, D.K., Represented by State Public Prosecutor, High Court of Karnataka, Bengaluru – 560 001.

Mahesh Shetty, HCGP for R1; R2 served and unrepresented) This Criminal Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. praying to quash the entire proceedings in C.C.No.60/2015 on the file of Additional Civil Judge and JMFC, Bantwal, D.K., for the offence P/U/S 498A and 506 of IPC and Section 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act.
This Criminal Petition coming on for Admission this day, the Court made the following:
ORDER Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and learned HCGP.
2. It is submitted by the learned HCGP that the case is presently listed for evidence before the Court below.
3. In that view of the matter, this Court is of the opinion that it would be appropriate for the parties to have the trial completed at the earliest. The case being registered under Sections 498A and 506 of IPC and under Section 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, the parties involved being husband and wife, this Court is of the opinion that the instant petition can be disposed of directing the Additional Civil Judge (Jr.Dn.) & JMFC Court, Bantwala, Dakshina Kannada District, to expedite the trial and complete the same within four months from the date of receipt of this order.
4. Accordingly, the Court of the Additional Civil Judge (Jr.Dn.) & JMFC Court, Bantwala, Dakshina Kannada District is directed to expedite and complete the trial and pass a judgment in C.C.No.60/2015 arising out of Crime No.281/2014 within the outer limit of four months from the date of receipt of this order.
With the above observations, this criminal petition is disposed of .
