This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to call for the records relating to Spl.SC No.5 of 2016 on the file of the learned Principal District Sessions Judge, Villupuram District and quash the same.
2. Today, both the parties along with their respective counsel on record are present and their identities have been verified. They have submitted that the matter has been amicably settled between them. The second respondent/ defacto complainant has also filed an affidavit dated 22.02.2017 to the effect that she has no objection for quashing the proceedings in Special SC No.5 of 2016 pending on the file of the Principal District Sessions Judge, Villupuram District against the petitioners herein.
3. In view of the above, the Criminal Original Petition is allowed and the proceedings in Spl.SC No.5 of 2016 on the file of the learned Principal District Sessions Judge, Villupuram District is quashed. The affidavit filed by the second respondent dated 22.02.2017 is taken on record. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
