Heard learned counsel for the petitioners; the learned A.G.A. for the respondents 1 and 2; and perused the record.
The instant petition seeks quashing of the first information report dated 15.11.2018 registered as Case Crime No. 654 of 2018, under Section 392, P.S. Daurala, District Meerut.
The allegation in the first information report is to the effect that when the informant was travelling by road, a vehicle came, stopped his vehicle. Four persons alighted from the vehicle and they took the informant and his companion to a neighbouring sugarcane field and tied them and took away the vehicle of the informant. The first information report has been lodged without naming any person.
It appears that during the course of investigation, some material has been collected by the police and therefore the petitioners have rushed to this court for protection.
In matters such as this, it would not be appropriate for us to interfere with the investigation as any interference would come as a hurdle for the investigation to arrive at the truth.
The petition is dismissed.
