Heard the learned counsel for the parties.
Petitioner applied for the post of Constable pursuant to Recruitment-2013. It transpires that the petitioner was declared medically unfit temporarily and was directed to appear before the Regional Medical Board vide communication dated 8 December 2015.
It is urged that the petitioner has since been approaching the authorities, however, Regional Medical Board was not conducted.
Learned standing counsel submits that the appointment of Constables pursuant to Recruitment-2013 has since been concluded and selected candidates have joined their post. The candidature of the petitioner at this belated stage cannot be considered.
On specific query, learned counsel for the petitioner is unable to explain as to why petitioner has approached this Court at the belated stage.
This Court declines to exercise its discretionary jurisdiction under Article 226 of the Constitution.
The writ petition is, accordingly, dismissed.
