JUDGMENT / ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by S.NAGAMUTHU.J] The petitioner is the father of one Mr. Mohamed Yasar Arafath, aged about 32 years. According to the petitioner, Mr. Mohamed Yasar Arafath, has been found missing from 14.10.2016 onwards. Despite complaint made to the respondents, according to the petitioner, the detenu has not been secured. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court with this Habeas Corpus Petition.
2. Today, when this Habeas Corpus Petition came up for hearing, there is no representation for the petitioner, neither petitioner has made appearance.
3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, submitted that the detenu had collected huge money from various persons and escaped from the village. Thus, according to him, there is no illegal confinement. The said statement is recorded.
4. In the result, the Habeas Corpus Petition is dismissed however, with a direction to the respondent Police to expedite the investigation.
