Mr.R.Venkatesh, learned Government Advocate, takes notice for the respondents 1 to 5, Mr.Elumalai, learned Government Advocate, takes notice for the 6th respondent and Mr.M.Maharaja, learned Special Government Pleader, takes notice for the 7th respondent. By consent, the main writ petition itself is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.

The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider his representation dated 29.8.2016 and to take appropriate action to remove and clean the drainage let out in the properties of the Arulmigu Kamatchiamman Thirukovil situated near Malliga Theatre, Mangadu, Kancheepuram District.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the 2nd respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 29.08.2016 in accordance with law.
4. Mr.R.Venkatesh, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 to 5 submitted that the 2nd respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's representation and pass orders in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks.
5. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 29.08.2016 and pass orders in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
With this observation, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
