For Petitioner : Mr.S.Lingesh For respondent : Mr.C.Emalias, Addl. Public Prosecutor ORDER The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to file final report in FIR No.8 of 2016 dated 9.10.2016 pending on her file.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that she has lodged a complaint with the respondent police as against her husband and mother in law and the same was registered in Crime No.8 of 2016. Though the said complaint was registered as early as on 9.10.2016, till date, final report was not filed. Hence, the present petition.
3. I have heard the learned Additional Public Prosecutor.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the respondent to investigate the case in Crime No.8 of 2016 pending on her file and file a final report, as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The Criminal Original Petition is ordered accordingly.
