2. It is the case of the petitioners that on the basis of the complaint given by the first petitioner as against one Ekambaram and Rukmani with the respondent police, a case was registered in Crime No.578 of 2016 on 22.9.2016. Though the said complaint was registered on 22.9.2016, thereafter, there is no progress in the investigation and till date, final report was not filed. Hence, the present petition.
3. I have heard the learned Additional Public Prosecutor.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the respondent to investigate the case in Crime No.578 of 2016 pending on his file and file final report, as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The Criminal Original Petition is ordered accordingly.
