JUDGMENT / ORDER

The writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking for issuance of a writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records relating to the Class I of Annexure referred in Rule 6 (b) (1) of Tamil Nadu Elementary Education and Subordinate Service Rules issued in G.O.Ms.No.1383, Education (PUS-I) Department dated 23.08.1988 of the 1st respondent and quash the same in so far as it relates to the qualification prescribed for those who are qualified with a degree in Tamil or B.Lit or Tamil Pandit and further direct the respondents to prescribe the qualification of B.Ed or B.T.Degree for Tamil Pandit and those who are qualified with a degree in Tamil for promotion to the post of Middle School Headmaster and fill the vacancies.
2. I heard Mr.Muthukannu, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.A.Raja Perumal, learned Additional Government Pleader, appearing for the respondents 1 and 2.
3. It is reported by the learned Additional Government Pleader states that the petitioner was already given promotion to the post of Middle School Headmaster. Hence, the prayer sought for in the writ petition has become infructuous.
4. Recording the submission of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
