ORDER:
This writ petition is filed for a Mandamus to declare the action of the respondents in general and respondent No.4 in particular in not receiving the demand draft for the value of the essential commodities sought to be submitted by the petitioner in respect of fair price shop No.22 of Srikalahasthi Town and Mandal, Chittoor District, as illegal and arbitrary.
In response to the order dated 28.10.2014, Mr. Chandramohan, Tahsildar, Srikalahasthi, is personally present. He has stated that due to some communication gap, the demand draft sent by the petitioner could not be received and that immediately on receipt of the notice of this Court, the demand draft was received and essential commodities have been released. He has assured the Court that in future, such instances will not be allowed to be repeated.
As respondent No.4 has taken corrective steps by issuing release order, the writ petition is closed.
As a sequel to the closure of the writ petition, W.P.M.P.No.40280 of 2014 shall stand disposed of as infructuous.
