Respondents PRAYER: Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ of Mandamus to direct respondents 1 and 2 to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 20.12.2016.

Government Pleader for 2nd respondent ORDER (Order of the Court was made by the Acting Chief Justice) The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of a writ of Mandamus to direct respondents 1 and 2 to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 20.12.2016.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that he is a physically challenged person and he is running a petty bunk shop on the Jawaharlal Nehru Road near CMBT, Koyambedu, Chennai. However, it is alleged that the respondent/authorities have directed him to remove the petty bunk shop or obtain license from the appropriate authority. The petitioner made a representation on 20.12.2016 seeking issuance of license to run the petty bunk shop or an alternative site. However, the said representation did not evince any response. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.
3. On hearing the learned counsel for the parties, suffice it to direct the Vending Committee constituted vide G.O. (4D) No.5, Municipal Administration and Water Supply (MCI) Department, dated 05.10.2016, to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 20.12.2016 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within three months from today. Further, if need be, the other documents be produced by the petitioner to the Vending Committee.
The petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
