Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus to issue suitable directions to the respondent to accord periodical promotion such as Junior Ticket Collector, Time Keeper, etc, to the petitioner on par with the other Trip Recorders of the State Transport Corporation and further accord the consequential pay fixation, arrears of pay and allowances and perquisites, etc., forwith or within the time to be stipulated by this court.

Sriram For Respondent : Mr.P.Paramasivadoss O R D E R The petitioner filed a writ petition directing the respondent to accord periodical promotion such as junior Ticket collector, Time Keeper, etc, to the petitioner on par with the other Trip Recorders of the State Transport Corporation.
2. The prayer in the writ petition cannot be granted under Article 226 of the Constitution of India. The remedy lies somewhere else. Accordingly, the petitioner is directed to workout his remedy before the appropriate forum.
In the result, the writ petition is dismissed. No costs.
