O R D E R
The petitioner, who is the husband of the respondent, has filed the above Civil Revision Petition to direct the II Additional Principal Judge, Family Court, Chennai to dispose of the Original Petition in H.M.O.P.No.3499 of 2015 within a stipulated time.
2. The petitioner filed H.M.O.P.No.3499 of 2015 for divorce on the ground of cruelty.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that though the Original Petition was filed in the year 2015, the same has not yet been disposed of by the Family Court. Further, the learned counsel submitted that in view of the long pendency of the matter, the petitioner is put to hardship and prejudice.
4. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in the Civil Revision Petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the II Additional Principal Judge, Family Court, Chennai, to dispose of H.M.O.P.No.3499 of 2015, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With these observations, the Civil Revision Petition is disposed of.
No costs.
