Public Prosecutor ORDER The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to file final report in Crime No.130 of 2016 pending on his file within a stipulated time as may be directed by this Court.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that she has lodged a complaint with the respondent police as against one Aruljothi and others and the same was registered in Crime No.130 of 2016. Though the said complaint was registered on 21.3.2016, thereafter, there is no progress in the investigation and till date, final report was not filed. Hence, the present petition.
3. I have heard the learned Additional Public Prosecutor.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the respondent to investigate the case in Crime No.130 of 2016 pending on his file and file final report, as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The Criminal Original Petition is ordered accordingly.
