This writ petition has been filed seeking to challenge Ext.P4 notice by which the petitioner's goods had been detained, calling upon him to furnish security. By an interim order dated 26.4.2013, there was a direction to the respondent to release the goods that are detained in terms of Ext.P4 on the petitioner furnishing bank guarantee for the amount stipulated in the said notice.
2. According to the petitioner he had complied with the said direction and the goods had been released.
3. Having regard to the aforesaid factual situation, no further orders are required in the matter. However, there will be a direction to the competent authority to complete the adjudication pursuant to Ext.P4 notice, if not completed, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment. It is made clear that the petitioner shall keep the bank guarantee alive until completion of the adjudication.
The writ petition is disposed of as above.
