JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioner seeks for a mandamus directing the respondent to consider his petitioner's representation dated 22.09.2017, wherein and whereby he has sought for issuance of Certificate for Mental Retardation in the name of the petitioner's son, Kailash Kumar P.Jain.
2.Heard both sides.
3.It is stated by the petitioner that his son by name, Kailash Kumar P.Jain was diagnosed with "Moderate Mental Retardation with Chronic undifferentiated psychosis" by a Medical Report dated 11.08.2016. Therefore, the petitioner approached the respondent and filed the application on 22.09.2017 for issuance of the certificate, as stated supra.
4.The grievance of the petitioner is that the respondent has not considered his request so far. This Court, without expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, directs the respondent to consider the said representation of the petitioner dated 22.09.2017 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, after conducting proper enquiry. Such exercise shall be done by the respondent within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.

20. The petitioner seeks for the following relief:
After notice, the learned counsel appearing for the respondent Housing Board based on instructions submitted that the very allotment issued against the petitioner was cancelled as early as on 15.04.2016. The learned counsel Mr.L.Chandrasekar submitted that no such order was communicated to the petitioner so far. The learned counsel for the Housing Board is directed to furnish a copy of the communication to the petitioner immediately. The petitioner is given liberty to challenge the said order in accordance with law before the appropriate forum within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of the said order to be communicated by the Housing Board. Till such time, the respondent Housing Board is directed to maintain the status quo as on today. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
