JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioner has filed this writ petition aggrieved by the action initiated against them alleging that they were carrying on their business without obtaining a licence under Section 447 of the Kerala Municipality Act, 1994. The petitioner has challenged the impugned proceedings in appeal before the 6th respondent. Ext.P3 is the appeal filed by the petitioner.
2. The learned counsel for the Municipality submits that, it is sufficient for the appeal to be considered and disposed of on the merits. According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, it is also necessary that the coercive proceedings are kept in abeyance until the appeal is finally disposed of.
In view of the above submissions, this writ petition is disposed of directing the 6th respondent to consider Ext.P3 appeal preferred by the petitioner and to finally dispose of the same in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible. Until Ext.P3 is finally disposed of, the interim order granted by this Court shall continue to remain in force.
