At the very outset, learned counsel for the applicant submits that there are chances that the dispute between the husband and wife may be settled amicably.
Without going to the merits of the case, at this stage, it is hereby directed that the applicant shall deposit Rs. 20,000 with the Mediation and Conciliation Centre of the High Court at Allahabad by 06.02.2019. Both the parties shall appear there on 20.02.2019 and for that, notices be issued to the opposite party no. 2. On the date fixed before the Mediation and Conciliation Centre, the opposite party no. 2 shall be paid Rs. 15,000/- from the deposit made by the applicant and the remaining amount shall go to the Mediation Centre.
The Mediation and Conciliation Centre shall conclude the proceedings of mediation within two next consecutive dates and the outcome of the mediation shall be transmitted to the Court immediately.
The matter shall be listed again along with the report of the Mediation and Conciliation Centre immediately on receipt of the report of the Mediation and Conciliation Centre, High Court, Allahabad.
In the meantime, it is hereby directed that no coercive measure shall be taken against the applicant provided he continues to deposit Rs. 5,000/- per month in total towards the maintenance as directed by the Court below.
It is made clear that this opportunity is one time measure and in the event of default of any of the directions contained in this order, the interim protection granted herein shall stand discharged.
