When the name of petitioner's father was entered in the revenue record vis-a-vis certain plots on 13.10.1976 and when names of the petitioners were some how not brought on the revenue record subsequently, the petitioners moved an application for the correction of the record. When that application was rejected, the petitioner filed an appeal which was accompanied by a stay application.
The grievance of the petitioner is that stay application was not being decided and there was every likelihood of the land being allotted to some other party.
Under such circumstances, it is directed that the stay application shall be decided within a period of ten days from the next date fixed in the appeal.
For a period of three weeks status quo as of today shall be maintained. It is further provided that the appeal itself shall be decided within a period of two months, thereafter, if there is no other legal impediment.
The writ petition is disposed of.
