JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioner was issued with Passport by the second respondent. The Passport of the petitioner has been impounded for the reason that the petitioner has suppressed information regarding pending criminal cases. It is admitted now all that criminal cases have been closed against the petitioner. This is reflected from Ext.P7 order passed by the Appellate Authority against the order passed by the Passport Authorities. There is nothing on record to interfere with the order passed by the Passport Authorities under the Passport Act. Therefore, the challenge against the order passed by the Passport Authorities is unsustainable. The petitioner submits that he is the holder of 'visa' to work in the foreign country. Therefore, the petitioner shall approach the Passport Authorities with fresh application for issuance of Passport. If the petitioner files an application before the Passport Authorities for issuance of Passport, the same shall be considered in the light of Ext.P7 order as expeditiously as possible, after obtaining necessary police verification report.
The writ petition is disposed of as above.
