Learned counsel for the petitioner prays that he may be permitted to implead the Senior Superintendent of Police, Jhansi as respondent no.3 in the array of the parties to the writ petition.
He is permitted to do so during the course of the day.
The petitioner had applied for arms licence on 10.4.2017 on account of threat and danger to his life and property.
The officiating authority of the office of the District Magistrate by letter dated 17.6.2017 asked the Senior Superintendent of Police, Jhansi to furnish report with regard to antecedent of the petitioner so that his application may be considered in accordance with law but no action has been taken so far.
The writ petition is disposed of with the direction to the respondent no.3 to furnish report within a period of one month from the date a certified copy of this order is presented before the authority concerned as required by the Officer-in-Charge (Arms), and thereafter the respondent no.2 will consider the claim of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within another three months.
