JUDGMENT / ORDER

This Criminal Original petition is filed for issuing a direction to the respondent/Inspector of Police, District Crime Branch, Thanjavur, to expedite the investigation in Crime No.20 of 2013, dated 23.12.2013 and to file final Report within a time stipulated by this Court.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.
3. It is stated that the petitioner is the first accused in Crime No.20 of 2013, dated 23.12.2013 which was registered for the alleged offences under Sections 120(B),406,409,465,467,472,477(A) and 420 of IPC. Alleging that the petitioner and others have misappropriated and forged the records, the complaint was lodged. Though the complaint was lodged in the year 2013, there was no progress and the investigation is not yet completed. It is in these circumstances, the petitioner has preferred the above petition.
4. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, particularly, the fact that the complaint was lodged in the year 2013, this Court is inclined allow this petition.
5. As a result, the Criminal Original petition is allowed and the respondent is directed to expedite the investigation in Crime No.20 of 2013, dated 23.10.2013 and to file final report within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
