Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned A.G.A. for respondent nos. 1 & 2 and perused the record.
The instant petition seeks quashing of the F.I.R. dated 25.10.2018 registered as Case Crime No. 211 of 2018 under Section 419, 420, 467, 468 & 471 I.P.C. at Police Station Mahewaghat, District-Kaushambi.
The allegation in the first information report is that petitioners secured appointment on the basis of forged educational certificates.
The learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that without proper verification of the certificate first information report has been lodged. It has been submitted that the certificates are genuine and not forged.
Be that as it may, as to whether the certificates are genuine or not can be ascertained by verification of the record from where the certificate have been obtained.
Under the circumstances, we decline to quash the first information report and dispose off this petition by providing that investigating officer shall thoroughly investigate the matter and before submitting police report, under Section 173(2) Cr.P.C., properly verify the records/certificates submitted by the petitioners from the institutions/authorities that had allegedly issued those certificates.
