JUDGMENT / ORDER

When this Criminal Original Petition was taken up for hearing on 25.01.2017, there was no representation for the petitioner. Hence the matter was directed to be posted today under the caption “for R.MAHADEVAN, J.
KM dismissal”. Even today, there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner. Further, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first respondent submitted that the accused had died and hence nothing survives in this Criminal Original Petition for adjudication.
2.Recording the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed as abated. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is also dismissed.
