Petitioner submitted an application to the Collector, Gorakhpur on 15.12.2017 for striking off the name of the State of U.P. from the revenue records in the light of the provisions of the Urban Land (Ceiling and Regulation) Repeal Act, 1999.
The application submitted by the petitioner is yet said to be pending consideration before the Collector, Gorakhpur, a copy of the application is placed on record as Annexure-3.
Having considered the facts of the case and also the contents of the application referred above, we deem it appropriate to dispose of the writ petition by directing the Collector, Gorakhpur to consider and decide the application submitted by the petitioner on 15.12.2017 by a speaking and reasoned order expeditiously, as far as possible within a period of two months from the date the petitioner presents a copy of this order before him.
The petition is disposed of accordingly.
