For Petitioners : Mr.M.Rajendran For respondents : Mr.C.Emalias, Additional Public Prosecutor ORDER The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police not to harass the petitioners.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor.
3. It is seen that since the petitioners did not appear before the Trial Court, a bailable warrant was issued against the petitioners. Earlier petition in Crl.O.P. No.6242 of 2016 filed by the petitioners to re-call the Bailable Warrant and to conduct the denovo trial afresh in C.C. No.56 of 2014 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate No.II, Tindivanam, was dismissed by this Court vide order dated 24.11.2016 and a direction has been issued to the respondent police to secure the petitioners for execution of bailable warrant. Pursuant to the order passed by this Court, the respondent police are taking steps to secure the petitioners, now the matter is ripe for Trial.
4. In the above circumstances, now the petitioners filed the present petition seeking a direction to the respondent police not to harass them, since the respondent police is taking steps to secure the petitioners, only pursuant to the direction issued by this Court. There is no merit in this petition and hence, the same is dismissed.
