JUDGMENT / ORDER

This criminal original petition has been filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., to quash the proceedings in D.V.C.No.54 of 2010 pending on the file of Judicial Magistrate No.II, Tiruchirappalli.
2.The learned counsel for the Government Advocate (criminal side) submits that one witness has been examined and the matter is listed for examination of remaining witnesses before the trial Court.
3.The learned counsel for the petitioners seek time.
4.Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005 itself was enacted for expeditious redressal of the grievances. The proceedings in D.V.C.No.54 of 2010 is found filed before the Judicial Magistrate No.2, Trichy in 2010 and the same has been challenged in this criminal original petition.
5.Considering the fact that the trial has begun and the matter is listed before the trial Court for examination of remaining witnesses, this Court is of the view that the petition is to be dismissed with some direction.
6.In the result, this criminal original petition is dismissed. The Judicial Magistrate No.2, Trichy is directed to dispose of D.V.C.No.54 of 210 on its file, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are also dismissed.
