Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Standing Counsel for the State.
The learned counsel for the petitioner has confined his prayer to prayer clause (b) only, i.e., to issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent no.2 to consider and take appropriate action upon the representation/application of the petitioners dated 16.12.2020 within some stipulated period, which can be granted.
Accordingly, present petition is disposed of with the direction to the respondent no.2 to consider the representation dated 16.12.2020 and decide the same by a reasoned order expeditiously.
It is made clear that this Court has not gone into the merits of the case and it is the respondent no.2 who has to decide the same in accordance with law.
